Creating Women Ministries is pleased to present Personal Journeys, a series of workshops created for individual study and faith development. Designed as primer courses, Personal Journeys offer opportunities to explore new topics, such as vocational gifts or journaling, or to deepen one's knowledge by revisiting familiar themes or concepts from a new perspective. Shorter in length than our workshops, Personal Journeys are also structured to accommodate varied learning styles and schedules. You will be able to work with the study materials in whatever way makes the most sense for you.
Personal Journeys: Creating a Prayer Life, invites you to intentionally explore your understanding of prayer, and to develop a conscious habit of prayer in your daily life. While prayer is a cornerstone of the Christian faith, our communication with God is often taken for granted at best, ignored completely on days when the busyness of life overtakes us. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to make time simply to be with God, to nurture this all-important relationship, and your own soul in the process? Wonder no more. In this study is your opportunity to define what prayer is, examine your own prayer experience, understand more clearly why you want to pray, and from this standpoint, determine how you would like your prayer life to look. Included to assist you in your process are essays and questions to guide your journey, and a journal to give you space to answer these questions for yourself, and to ask more as they arise.
